President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu departed London on Thursday, bringing to a close their two-day state visit to the United Kingdom.
The presidential aircraft departed London on Thursday evening, ending an official trip hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle from March 18 to 19, 2026.
Video footage posted by TVC showed the Tinubus boarding the plane at RAF Northolt with members of the Nigerian delegation.
The president and First Lady arrived in London on Tuesday via Stansted Airport and were given a ceremonial welcome the following day, including a carriage procession and formal meetings with members of the Royal Family.

During the visit, President Tinubu held a bilateral meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
Several agreements were signed, including a £746 million financing deal involving UK Export Finance, the Nigerian Ports Authority, and the Federal Ministry of Finance.
This is the first state visit by a Nigerian leader to the UK since 1989 and the first since Nigeria’s return to civilian rule in 1999.
