Legendary martial artist and Hollywood action star Chuck Norris has died at the age of 86.
His family confirmed that the actor passed away “at peace” on Thursday, surrounded by his loved ones at his home.
In a moving tribute, his daughter Danilee remembered her father’s dual nature, noting that while he was known worldwide for his “warrior exterior,” his personal life was defined by a “heart so full of love.”
Born in Oklahoma in 1940, Norris served in the U.S. Air Force before rising to international prominence as a martial arts champion.
His major cinematic breakthrough came in 1972 when he starred opposite Bruce Lee in the iconic film Way of the Dragon.

This role launched a decades-long screen career, most notably his long-running portrayal of Cordell “Cord” Walker in the hit television series Walker, Texas Ranger, which cemented his status as a pillar of American pop culture.
Beyond his filmography, Norris became a unique digital phenomenon in the 21st century.
His “tough-guy” persona inspired a viral wave of “Chuck Norris Facts” and memes that playfully exaggerated his strength, including the famous slogan: “In an emergency, 911 calls him.”
Tributes have begun pouring in from across the entertainment and martial arts worlds, honouring a man who was widely regarded as the “real deal” both on and off the screen.
