“Melania and I are pleased to announce that Their Majesties, the King and the Queen of the United Kingdom, will visit the United States for a historic state visit from April 27-30th, which will include a beautiful banquet dinner at the White House on the evening of April 28,” Trump wrote.
“This momentous occasion will be even more special this year, as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of our great country. I look forward to spending time with the King, whom I greatly respect. It will be terrific.”

Buckingham Palace also confirmed the state visit on Tuesday.
The full itinerary for the visit has yet to be released, but it will include Washington, DC. The trip will mark the first UK state visit to the US since Queen Elizabeth II’s visit in 2007.
King Charles is expected to deliver an address to the US Congress during the state visit. He will pay a visit to Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic, on his way back.
Trump visited the United Kingdom in September 2025. His visit strengthened UK-US relations. Ever since Trump returned from the trip, there has been speculation about the King carrying out a return visit.
