The White House confirmed on Monday that President Donald Trump has not yet approved a proposed 45-day ceasefire with Iran.
While international mediators have officially submitted the truce reached through diplomatic channels, administration officials emphasised that the President is still reviewing the terms.
Consequently, the military campaign known as “Operation Epic Fury” remains in full effect as the U.S. continues its current trajectory in the Middle East conflict.
A spokesperson described the ceasefire proposal as “one of many ideas” currently under consideration by the executive branch.
Despite the receipt of the document, there has been no official order to pause hostilities, and the administration maintains that the war will proceed until a final decision is reached.

The president is expected to provide further clarity on his position and the status of the negotiations during a scheduled press conference at 1:00 pm.
The ongoing uncertainty surrounding the deal has kept both global markets and international observers on edge.
While the 45-day window offers a potential path toward de-escalation, the White House’s insistence that the President has “not signed off” suggests that significant hurdles may remain.
For now, the U.S. military posture remains unchanged as the world awaits the results of the afternoon briefing.
