Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has directed the military to carry out heavy strikes against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon following allegations that the militant group violated a ceasefire arrangement, according to his office.
In a brief statement, Netanyahu’s office said he “ordered the IDF to forcefully attack Hezbollah targets in Lebanon” after Israel’s military accused the Iran-backed group of breaching the truce that had been recently extended.

Earlier on Saturday, the Israeli military said it had killed more than 15 militants in southern Lebanon in separate operations, including three individuals reportedly travelling in a vehicle carrying weapons.
It also said Hezbollah operatives had launched explosive drones at Israeli forces in the Qantara area, adding that the devices detonated near troops but did not cause injuries.
The military further reported that its forces discovered an anti-tank missile stockpile inside what it described as a Hezbollah weapons facility, as well as an underground tunnel containing Kalashnikov rifles.
