The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a revised timetable for its 2027 general election activities, covering screening, primaries, appeals and other internal processes, while also publishing designated bank accounts for the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.

The notice, issued on Monday from the party’s national secretariat, Buhari House, Abuja, was signed by National Organising Secretary Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu and separately confirmed by National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka.

The party said the updated schedule was issued in line with the 1999 Constitution as amended, the Electoral Act 2026, and the revised timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Primary elections will begin on May 15 with the House of Representatives contests. Senate primaries will follow, alongside State House of Assembly, governorship and presidential primaries, with the exercise expected to end on May 23.

The APC also announced the cost of forms for aspirants seeking elective offices.

According to the party, Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for State House of Assembly aspirants will cost N1 million and N5 million, respectively.

House of Representatives aspirants are to pay N1 million and N9 million, while Senate hopefuls will pay N3 million and N17 million.

For governorship aspirants, the fees were fixed at N10 million for Expression of Interest and N40 million for Nomination, while presidential aspirants are to pay N30 million and N70 million respectively.

The party said female aspirants, youths and persons with disabilities would pay the Expression of Interest fee and 50 per cent of the prescribed Nomination fee for each office.

It directed that all payments be made directly into designated APC bank accounts with Union Bank, United Bank for Africa (UBA) and Zenith Bank.

The revised timetable comes as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections, with the APC saying the adjustments are intended to ensure smoother coordination of its nationwide primary elections.
