The announcement follows a circular issued by the Head of Service on 21st January 2026.
The examinations will take place from Tuesday, 12th May to Tuesday, 19th May 2026 at the Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC), Magodo, Lagos.
The exams include the Compulsory Examination for all cadres in the State Public Service, the Combined Confirmation/Promotion Examination for Clerical Officers II (CO II) and Clerical Assistants (CA), and the External Secretarial Examination.
Candidates are advised to start printing their examination slips from Tuesday, 5th May 2026, via the Lagos State Examinations Board portal (http://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng), using their registration login details.
“The examination slip will contain essential details, including the candidate’s scheduled date and time,” the statement said.
All candidates are required to present valid identification at the examination centre. Acceptable forms of identification include Staff Identity Cards, National Identification Number (NIN) slips, and Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) cards.

Candidates must also bring a printed copy of their examination slip to the venue and are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the date and time indicated on their slips.
Candidates are encouraged to familiarise themselves with basic computer operations ahead of the examination as the tests will be conducted using a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
Candidates are also expected to dress formally, as inappropriate dressing will not be permitted at the examination venue.
The Lagos State Examinations Board urged all candidates to comply fully with these guidelines to ensure a smooth and orderly examination process.
