Four people have been killed, and eight others injured after a gunman opened fire near the southern Turkish city of Mersin on Monday.
According to Demirören Haber Ajansı –Demirören News Agency (DHA) and İhlas Haber Ajansı – İhlas News Agency (IHA), the assailant opened fire inside a restaurant, killing two people. The assailant killed two others elsewhere, before fleeing.

The shooting struck north of Tarsus, about 40 kilometres (25 miles) northeast of Mersin, prompting a police manhunt to search and find the shooter.
Helicopters were also used during the search. DHA added that the shooter was a 17-year-old armed with a shotgun.
This is the third of such incident in less than two months.
The first incident, which happened a month ago, involved two shooting attacks by teenagers, where 16 people were injured, while the second attack claimed 10 lives, most of them young school children, both still in Turkey.
