Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and Amotekun Corps have arrived at the polling unit where Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji is expected to cast his vote.
The security personnel from the three agencies arrived around the same time and were stationed at strategic locations around the polling area to monitor the exercise and prevent electoral offences, including vote buying and acts capable of disrupting the process.

The deployment is part of wider security arrangements for the Ekiti governorship election, which is being conducted across the state’s 16 local government areas.
Political parties fielding candidates in the election include the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Accord, Labour Party (LP), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Action Peoples Party (APP), African Action Congress (AAC), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), among others.
Observers are closely watching the exercise as a major indicator of voter sentiment and political dynamics in the state.
