England and Ghana moved closer to reaching the last 32 of the World Cup after playing out a goalless draw in Foxborough on Tuesday.
Thomas Tuchel’s side remain top of Group L with four points, ahead of Ghana on goal difference, before their final group match against Panama. A victory would likely secure first place and set up a last-32 clash in Atlanta on July 1.
England opened their campaign with an impressive 4-2 victory over Croatia, producing an attacking display that overwhelmed the 2018 World Cup runners-up.

However, they struggled to break down a disciplined Ghana side that defended resolutely, creating few clear-cut opportunities to trouble the Black Stars.
England also survived a major scare in the 79th minute when Ezri Konsa appeared to bring down substitute Prince Adu inside the penalty area, but no spot-kick was awarded.
A disappointing attacking display was summed up late in the match when captain Harry Kane fired over the crossbar from close range with the goal at his mercy.
The result leaves England and Ghana level on four points, while Croatia and Panama were due to meet later on Tuesday.
Away from the pitch, FIFA President Gianni Infantino confirmed that US President Donald Trump will attend the World Cup final in New Jersey on July 19 and join the trophy presentation ceremony.
“We will be together with the president enjoying the final and handing the trophy to the winner, of course, together,” Infantino told Fox and Friends.
