Monaco move to terminate Pogba's contract.

AS Monaco is negotiating an early contract termination with midfielder Paul Pogba just one year into his two-year deal, following an injury-plagued first season with the Ligue 1 team.
The club aims to reshape its midfield options following the arrival of new manager Filipe Luís, who recently replaced Sébastien Pocognoli.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on X, posting: “AS Monaco offer contract termination to Paul Pogba. The club wants to mutually terminate his deal by September 1 to let Paul find a new club this year. Decision up to Pogba (now injured), but AS Monaco informed his camp.”
Pogba joined Monaco last summer after serving an 18-month doping suspension, which the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced from an initial four-year ban after finding he unknowingly ingested a prohibited substance.
The reduction allowed the 2018 World Cup winner to resume playing in March 2025, but continued fitness struggles restricted his impact at the French club.
If both parties reach an agreement, the 31-year-old former France international will become a free agent to pursue his next career move.
