Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has sworn in six new aides, charging them to uphold their oath of office, embrace teamwork and contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Monday at the Council Chamber of the Government House in Dutse, where the state’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Abdulkadir Fanini, administered the oath of office.
The newly appointed officials later signed the oath documents before the governor, members of the State Executive Council, and supporters who attended the event.
Addressing the appointees, Namadi said the appointments were aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery across the state.
He explained that the appointments were based on merit and the appointees’ strong grassroots connections, expressing confidence in their ability to contribute to his administration’s vision.
The governor urged them to remain faithful to their oath of office, stressing that it should guide their conduct in public service. He also encouraged them to work collaboratively to achieve better results for the people of Jigawa.
The new aides include Muftahu Majia, Salma Wakili, Adamu Garkuwa, Mubarak Aliyu, Musbahu Kaugama and Bala Sule.
Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Majia thanked the governor for the opportunity and pledged their commitment to dedicated service, teamwork and effective policy implementation.
