#OsunDecides: INEC Begins Results Collation

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun collating and announcing results from the Osun State governorship election after voting ended statewide.

The election was held across all 30 Local Government Areas (LGAs), and attention is now shifting to the collation centres, where results are being verified and announced.

Results from the local government areas were announced on Sunday and are as follows;

1. Boluwaduro LGA

• Accord (A): 7,118 votes
• APC: 7,050 votes
• ADC – 179
• Registered voters: 29,797
• Accredited voters: 14,662
• Valid votes: 14,478
• Rejected votes: 177
• Total votes cast: 14,655

2. Ede South LGA

• Accord (A): 26,188 votes
• APC: 6,219 votes

• At Units 4 and 14, Olumogbe I, the number of ballot papers received was reportedly below the 427 registered voters.
• 332 PVCs had been collected.
• A party agent requested a rerun because the ballot papers were insufficient.
• Unit 17: One case of overvoting; cancellation requested.
• Unit 11: Another case of overvoting could not be resolved, leading to an agreement for cancellation.
• Total affected votes: 1,419
