Prince Harry and Meghan Markle switched their children’s school due to safety concerns just days after starting the new academic year in England.

The couple, who recently resettled in the Cotswolds with seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet, adjusted their plans following a review with their security team.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes confirmed that heavy traffic and long travel distances prompted the practical change.

The relocation back to the UK follows years of legal battles over taxpayer-funded security after the couple stepped down as senior royals in 2020.

While the family currently relies on private guards, Harry continues to request official police protection from the government.

Britain’s Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures recently met to review the specific security threats facing the family, even as King Charles III reaffirmed that the couple will not function as working royals.
