Dangote Petroleum Refinery reduced its diesel gantry price by N80 per litre on Wednesday, cutting the rate from N1,780 to N1,700 per litre.
The 4.5 per cent price reduction marks the facility’s second cost adjustment within a month, bringing domestic wholesale rates closer to international import-parity costs.
Falling diesel import costs and international crude oil market volatility drove the refinery’s decision.

According to data from the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria, the estimated spot landing cost of diesel dropped from N1,823.68 to N1,696.40 per litre in early October as Brent crude hovered near $100 per barrel amid ongoing Middle East supply concerns.

The refinery informed customers that it will issue credit values for unloaded gantry volumes affected by the adjustment.
Market analysts expect the reduction to lower depot prices nationwide, offering financial relief to businesses and bulk consumers that rely on diesel for operations and power generation.
