Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Brussels in December to formally sign a trade agreement between India and the European Union, European Council President Antonio Costa has announced.

Costa disclosed the planned visit on Thursday while speaking at an event hosted by the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations in Canada.

The EU and India concluded negotiations on the trade pact earlier this year.
