A Russian drone strike has killed 13 people and injured at least five others at a railway station platform in Dnipro, central Ukraine, on Thursday, regional authorities have said.
Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, initially reported an attack on transport infrastructure. He said emergency services had rushed to the scene.

Hanzha later confirmed the death toll, adding that at least five people had been injured. Medical teams are treating the wounded.
Ukrainian Railways said a Russian jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicle struck a railway station platform where train No. 866, travelling from Dnipro to Zaporizhzhia, was located. The railway operator said people were on the platform despite an alert warning of heightened danger.
Rescuers, medical teams and law enforcement officers are working at the scene.
