Police Rescue Three Mothers After Kogi Attack

The Nigerian Police have rescued three nursing mothers after gunmen attacked a commercial bus near Ebiya Town in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The attack occurred at about 11:17 pm on Sunday, when armed men opened fire on a Toyota Hummer Bus carrying passengers. One passenger was killed by gunfire, while 13 others were abducted and taken into the bush.

Following a distress call, police operatives led a joint security team to the scene. The team recovered the commercial bus and rescued three nursing mothers.

Meanwhile, security operatives have continued search-and-rescue operations in the surrounding bush to locate and free the remaining abducted passengers.

Police said the operation was ongoing, with efforts focused on ensuring the victims’ safe return.
