Police Rescue 10 Kidnap Victims in Zamfara State, Nigeria

Zamfara State Police Command in collaboration with the Peace and reconciliation Committee have secured the release of ten persons kidnapped by bandits who stormed Kaya village in Maradun LGA in the early hours of Tuesday.

The victims, according to the Command’s Public Relation Officer, Muhammed Shehu, include seven women and three men. They were abducted and taken to Sububu forest but eventually released following the Governor Mohammed Bello Matawalle initiated peace process.

Muhammed Shehu disclosed that all the rescued kidnapped victims have been debriefed by the Police and handed over to the sole Administrator of Maradun local government hale and harty, who will reunite them with their families.

The state polce spokesperson, Shehu says investigation regarding the abduction of the victims has commenced and the outcome will be made public.
