Nigerian Service Chiefs Charged to Identify Terrorism Sponsors

President Muhammadu Buhari has instructed the service chiefs, other security and intelligence coordinators of the nation to identify masterminds of terrorism, banditry and kidnapping as well as their sponsors with a view to taking them out.

Buhari met the service chiefs ahead of his trip to London for routine medical check-up.

The National Security Adviser (NSA), Major-General Babagana Monguno, disclosed this to State House Correspondents after a security meeting, chaired by President Buhari in the State House, Abuja.

He quoted the President saying a reactionary armed forces rather than a proactive one will no longer be tolerated.

President Muhammadu Buhari has instructed that all decisions approved at the recently held National Security Council meeting, including the ban on mining activities in Zamfara and the no-fly-zone order, remain in force until further notice.
