136 Prisoners Freed in Kano State, Nigeria

The Governor of Kano State, Nigeria. Gov Abdullahi Ganduje has pardoned 136 inmates to mark year 2021 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The inmates were freed from the Goron Dutse Medium Correctional Centre on Wednesday following what the governor described as a positive change in their behaviour.

He disclosed this during a visit to the Gorondutse Medium Correctional Centre as part of his Sallah visits. He pointed out that the move is in line with the government’s efforts to decongest the correctional centers.

Governor Ganduje encouraged the freed inmates to keep up their good behaviour.
