The TCN said the exercise will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
TCN said the work will involve stringing and latching Optical Ground Wire on the two 132kV Katampe–Apo transmission lines.
The affected lines are Lines 1 and 2, between towers T130 and T132.
The maintenance will affect electricity supply in Lugbe, Garki, Area 1, National Hospital, Guzape, Asokoro and surrounding areas.

TCN said the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company will be unable to supply electricity to customers in the affected areas during the exercise.
“Consequently, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to off-take electricity for supply to customers in Lugbe, Garki, Area 1, National Hospital, Guzape, Asokoro, and surrounding areas during the exercise,” TCN said.
The company assured affected residents that electricity supply would return immediately after the maintenance.
“Power supply will be restored immediately after the maintenance exercise is completed,” it added.
TCN apologised to residents and electricity consumers for the inconvenience the planned outage may cause.
