A bus accident in eastern Mexico has left at least 10 people dead and another 32 injured.
The crash occurred on Thursday evening in the town of Zontecomatlan, while the vehicle was travelling from Mexico City to the village of Chicontepec, authorities stated.
“At this stage, we have confirmed nine adults and one child dead,” the Zontecomatlan mayor’s office said in a statement.

The municipality also released a list of 32 people injured and the hospitals to which they were admitted.
Road accidents involving buses and trucks are common in Mexico, often caused by speeding or mechanical failure.
According to AFP, a similar crash in November in Michoacán left 10 dead and 20 injured.
