Popular skit maker and streamer Carter Efe has addressed his separation from his baby mama, Emmanuella, in a series of posts shared on Instagram.
Carter Efe described the past two years as one of the darkest periods of his life. According to him, the breakup did not just affect his relationship, it nearly cost him his career, his finances, and his peace of mind.
In a post that quickly went viral, Carter Efe suggested that his ex left when things were tough and tried to return once his success became obvious.
“You left me for good 5 months only to come and see that I’m the biggest streamer in Africa.
“Lmaoooooooooo you wan follow me enjoy when you nor Dey there for me…. Funny bitch”
Carter Efe went on to allege that the relationship drained him emotionally and mentally, claiming it pushed him to a breaking point where he lost focus and direction.
He also addressed the long-running online accusations that trailed him during that period, saying he trended repeatedly for allegedly beating a woman. According to him, the pressure and public backlash only worsened his situation.
“This lady has frustrated my whole life to the extent I trend everyday for beating a lady,” he wrote. “For good 2 years I lost everything. I lost my mindset. I couldn’t think or shoot content. I got broke.”
During this period, he claimed he had not seen his child, Charis, for three months.
“Good 3 months I didn’t see my kid! CHARIS,” he said, adding that he refused to let that stop his grind.
He stressed that his recent happiness and renewed energy came only after he created distance from the situation.
“This days you guys noticed I’ve been happy and active. It’s because I was able to move away since,” he wrote. “I’m aggressively active. God is good.”
In another post, Carter Efe shared a photo glimpse into the struggle behind his rise. He revealed that he and his team once slept together in a single room while chasing their dreams, often streaming to just four viewers and hoping for a breakthrough.
“This is where we sleep everyday, me and my team, in this one room, hoping God will take control one day!!” he wrote. “Until we were chased out from there. Talking to four people on livestream, hoping and believing one day everything will be good.”
He said his motivation was never fame alone, but the desire to give his son a better future.
“I was intentional about grinding, not just because of anybody, but for my kid Charis to have a brighter future,” he said.
“God is good. God never left my side when the people I love left me.”
In another post, Carter Efe stated that he and his team were eventually forced to vacate the single room they were staying in.
“Yes, I was chased from the one room, and I was asked to pack that same day,” he wrote.
He also discussed his public displays of gratitude to fellow entertainers DDG and Davido, stating that his appreciation is influenced by the challenges he faced along the way.
“When you guys see me appreciating people like Davido and DDG, I dey reason wetin I don pass through to reach there,” he wrote.
“When it reach your turn, no appreciate. Let woman end your career,” he added.
