Ethiopian military forces have launched multiple drone strikes across the northern regions of Amhara and Tigray since Thursday, killing at least 25 civilians, including children and pregnant women.
In Amhara, four consecutive strikes hit an internally displaced persons camp 400 kilometres northeast of Addis Ababa just as students returned from school, leaving at least 16 dead.
Witnesses described horrific scenes at the facility, where families gathered dismembered bodies and buried victims in mass graves.

In Tigray, a Friday morning strike targeted a crowd gathering to salvage sorghum from a transport truck that federal forces had bombed the previous evening in Rama town.
The second strike killed at least 11 civilians on the scene, with hospital sources reporting additional casualties.
Despite mounting accusations of indiscriminate attacks against civilians, the Ethiopian army has not responded to requests for comment as its forces push insurgent groups back toward the Eritrean border.
