FIFA, AU and CAF come together to sign historic MoU

World football governing body FIFA have signed an historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the African Union (AU).

The MoU which was signed by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki and CAF President Ahmad Ahmad will see all three organisations implement common strategies and programmes with a focus on the areas of education, good governance and the fight against corruption, as well as safety and security at football matches.

Moussa Faki took to social media to express his delight at the newly formed partnership.

FIFA has allocated a budget of USD 100 million to the Football for Schools Programme over the next four-year cycle, and pilot projects will start in Mauritania, Botswana and Rwanda soon.
