Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has joined Fox News as an on-air contributor, starting November 1.
Fox News announced the appointment on Monday, saying Leavitt will provide political commentary and analysis across its platforms.
Leavitt left her White House role in August to spend more time with her two young children. She served as White House press secretary from January 2025 until August 2026. She was the youngest person to hold the position in US history.

In her new role, Leavitt will appear across Fox News platforms. Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott said Leavitt’s experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail would bring insight to the network’s audience.
Leavitt also welcomed the new role.
“I look forward to bringing my unique perspective from my experience as White House Press Secretary, along with the same energy and candor that defined my tenure, to Fox’s millions of viewers across their many platforms,” she said.

Leavitt has since moved back to New Hampshire with her husband and their two children. The network has agreed to build a studio at her home, according to a source familiar with the arrangement. Before leaving the White House, Leavitt had lived with her family at the Naval Observatory in Washington.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has yet to name her replacement as White House press secretary. The last White House press briefing was held on September 3 and was led by Vice President JD Vance.
During Leavitt’s maternity leave earlier this year, Vance and other Cabinet officials also handled briefings on a rotating basis. Trump said on Thursday that several people were interested in the vacant position. He also pointed to Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy as a possible candidate.
Leavitt remains involved in Trump’s political circle through MAGA Inc., a Trump-aligned super PAC. She recently spoke at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas and helped host the launch of the AI-powered America.gov website in Washington.
She has also appeared on Fox News host Sean Hannity’s show and podcast in recent weeks. Leavitt is not the first former Trump press secretary to join Fox News. Kayleigh McEnany joined the network after serving as press secretary during Trump’s first administration.
