The News Central Town Hall in Katsina State has commenced, bringing together survivors, community leaders, traditional and religious leaders, security stakeholders, policymakers, civil society organisations and residents to discuss the state’s growing security challenges.

The town hall, themed “From Fear to Safety: Survivors, Security, and the Future of Katsina,” is focused on the impact of banditry, kidnapping and other forms of insecurity on communities, while exploring practical solutions to improve safety across the state.

Across several communities in Katsina State, persistent insecurity continues to disrupt lives and livelihoods. Many families have abandoned their farms, businesses have been affected, children have been forced out of school, and countless residents face an uncertain future.

The town hall provides a platform for those experiences to be heard, while bringing together key stakeholders to discuss practical solutions and the collective responsibility required to improve security across the state.
