Health officials instituted rapid testing across the nation after a Kenyan citizen, who recently travelled from the Democratic Republic of Congo, died of the virus in Nairobi.

Health authorities have successfully traced and quarantined 108 of the 122 listed contacts, reporting that none of those isolated have developed symptoms so far.

The ministry appealed to the public to remain calm yet vigilant, advising anyone experiencing symptoms or suspecting exposure to seek immediate medical assistance.
Kenya remains on high alert as the fourth nation affected by the ongoing epidemic in eastern Congo, which stands as the second-largest Ebola outbreak on record with over 8,000 cases.
