MTN Nigeria has confirmed a network outage affecting customers in Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, and Delta states, as well as the FCT.
The telecommunications company disclosed this in a statement posted on its X account on Thursday. MTN said customers in the affected areas might be unable to access some of its services due to the network problems.
“Network Outage Alert! We’re experiencing network challenges in some parts of Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, FCT and Delta States and our services may be temporarily unavailable as a result,” the company said.

The company added that its engineers were working to restore service.
“Our engineers are working to restore services as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” MTN said.
In a later update, MTN apologised to affected customers and assured them that efforts to fix the problem were ongoing.
“Dear Customer, We are aware some of our customers are having challenges using our services. Our engineers are working to restore services as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience,” it added.
