The Naira ended the week on a good note after gaining significantly against the Dollar across official and parallel foreign exchange markets.

Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that the naira, on Friday, strengthened to N1,531.57 from N1,535.47 exchanged on Thursday.

It shows that the Nigerian currency gained N3.9 against the dollar on a day-to-day basis, recording the highest gain this week.

In the same vein, at the parallel market, the Naira appreciated by N5 to close at N1,543 per dollar from N1,548 traded on Thursday.

This marks the third straight session of Naira appreciation against the dollar at the official market, following a rise in external reserves to \$41.24 million.

Data from the Central Bank showed that as of August 29, foreign exchange reserves had increased to \$41.26 billion.
