The Nigerian foreign exchange market recorded slight movements on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, with the Naira trading at an average of 1,345.45 to the United States Dollar at the official window.

Data from the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM) showed that the currency experienced intraday volatility, briefly trading at 1,343.76 before settling at 1,345.45 per dollar.

Market participants attributed movements at the official window to liquidity conditions and foreign exchange supply dynamics.

At the parallel market, the dollar traded at higher rates.

Bureau de change operators in Lagos, Abuja, and Kano quoted buying rates of around 1,480 per dollar.

While selling rates ranged from 1,495 to 1,510.
