Nigeria Approves Medipool to Cut Medicine Costs

The Nigerian Government has approved a new policy called Medipool, which could result in reduced costs for medicines and other medical supplies.

This formed part of the resolutions from the Federal Executive Council meeting, chaired by President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja on Monday.

The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, explained that Medipool is a group purchasing organisation designed to secure competitive pricing and serve as a supplier of essential medicines and healthcare products across Nigeria.
