Global sportswear giant Nike has teamed up with Nigerian artist Olaolu Akeredolu-Ale, popularly known as Slawn, to create a special-edition collection for the Nigerian national football team.
The collaboration fuses Slawn’s chaotic, graffiti-inspired aesthetic with the vibrant energy of the Super Eagles, delivering one of the year’s most visually striking football capsules.
The unique lineup features a special-edition jersey, T-shirt, hoodie, and woven jackets, all sporting a custom graffiti-style Nike Swoosh and an abstract “NAIJA” text logo.
The partnership forms part of a broader Nike campaign ahead of the 2026 World Cup, where the brand is collaborating with seven different artists and labels to launch exclusive capsule collections for various national federations.

However, the Super Eagles will not wear this specific collection on the pitch during the tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Nigeria failed to qualify for the global competition, which runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
To unveil the bold new look, Nike assembled a star-studded modelling team.
Current Super Eagles players Samuel Chukwueze and Tolu Arokodare joined legendary former captain Jay-Jay Okocha and veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo for the official campaign rollout.

Meanwhile, the national team continues to wear Nike’s standard 2026 home and away training kits—featuring vibrant light green fades and clean white-and-green panelling—at the ongoing Unity Cup in London.
This drop marks the third kit design Nike has produced for Nigeria in the span of two years.
The release arrives at a critical juncture, as the current contract between the Nigeria Football Federation and Nike expires later this year.
The highly successful partnership originally began in 2015 and earned a major extension after Nigeria’s iconic 2018 World Cup kit took the fashion world by storm.
Despite the excitement surrounding this creative apparel launch, many fans continue to express deep disappointment over the team’s consecutive failures to qualify for the FIFA World Cup.
