The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has directed local government chairmen reinstated by the Court of Appeal ruling on February 10 to resume duties on Monday.
In a statement issued by APC’s Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, the party dismissed reports advising the chairmen against resuming, calling it misinformation spread by anti-democratic elements.
Governor Ademola Adeleke had earlier instructed newly elected chairmen to delay resumption to avoid clashes with those allegedly occupying the offices with police support.
The APC urged security agencies to maintain order and warned against political thuggery.
