Qatar, Türkiye and Egypt have condemned recent Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, warning that the violence could undermine efforts to implement a ceasefire and end the conflict.

The three countries, which are mediating between Israel and Palestine, said the attacks resulted in civilian deaths, including women and children, and expressed concern over what they described as ongoing violations.

In a statement issued by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday, the mediators warned that the escalation came at a critical stage of efforts to implement the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict.

“The intensification of Israeli attacks undermines regional and international efforts at a critical juncture,” the statement said.

According to the three countries, intensive diplomatic efforts are currently focused on implementing the plan, including a meeting between the Board of Peace and Israeli officials and further progress in negotiations.

The three countries said “constructive steps are being taken in the negotiation process”, but stressed that Israel must adhere to its obligations under the ceasefire agreement.

“The mediating countries stress the imperative for Israel to fully comply with all its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and to refrain from actions that could further undermine the ceasefire and escalate tensions,” the statement said.

Qatar, Türkiye and Egypt also urged the international community to intervene to prevent further escalation, citing what they described as the devastating consequences of continued Israeli military action in the region.

They called on the international community and the Board of Peace, led by US President Donald Trump and endorsed by UN Security Council Resolution 2803, to take steps to ensure compliance with the ceasefire.

The mediators also called for “effective pressure to prevent further escalation.”

The statement comes as efforts continue to consolidate the Gaza ceasefire and advance negotiations to end the conflict, following continuing concerns over civilian casualties and violations of the truce.
