Remembering Dorothy Masuka: 1935 – 2019

The grande dame of jazz music, veteran musician Dorothy Masuka passed on after suffering from complications related to hypertension and suffering a mild stroke last year. Masuka’s career blossomed in the 1950s. Just like many artists of her time, her music touched on the injustice black people faced in South Africa during apartheid.
