Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to return to the Portugal national team during the November international break, according to Portuguese Football Federation president Pedro Proença.
Proença said the federation, coaching staff and players are all aligned in wanting the captain back.
“The Federation, the coach, all the teammates are aligned: we want Cristiano back. I expect him back already during the November international break,” Proença said.

The FPF president also indicated that Ronaldo is willing to return.
“Cristiano is also willing to return. He’s the best of all time,” Proença added.

Ronaldo walked out on the Portugal squad last week after learning he would not start against Denmark, following his omission from the starting line-up for the win over Norway.
Portugal coach Jorge Jesus said on Sunday that Ronaldo could return “if he wants to,” adding that the player would decide his own future.
Ronaldo, Portugal’s all-time leading scorer and most-capped player, has said this will “probably” be his final year in football.
