At least four civilians have been killed and more than 30 others injured in Russian strikes along the frontline areas in Ukraine, according to local authorities.
In Zaporizhzhia, the regional governor, Ivan Fedorov, said two women were killed and 18 people injured, including four children aged between five and 12, after a residential building was struck. He added that the attack left significant destruction in the city centre.
In the Sumy region, Governor Oleh Hryhorov said a 71-year-old man was killed while riding a bicycle during a mortar and drone attack on the Seredyna-Buda district.
“As a result of the enemy attack, a 71-year-old local resident who was riding a bicycle was killed,” he said.

He said the man was caught in the strike while on his bicycle in the affected area.
In Dnipropetrovsk, local military administrator Oleksandr Ganzha said Russian strikes hit an apartment block, a bank and a shop in Nikopol, killing one person and injuring four others.
Authorities in Donetsk reported that at least seven people were injured in Sloviansk, while three others were wounded in separate strikes in the Odesa region.
The attacks are part of an escalation in daily strikes along the front line, as Ukraine continues to respond with drone operations targeting military and energy infrastructure inside Russian territory.
United Nations estimates released in April say at least 15,850 civilians have been killed in Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion began in February 2022, while more than 44,800 others have been injured across both Russian-controlled and Ukrainian-held areas.
