A tragic head-on collision between a Toyota Sienna and a Mazda vehicle killed seven people and injured seven others along the Kutigi–Bida Road in Niger State on Sunday.

The fatal crash occurred around 11:30 am near Shebe Village when the Minna-bound Mazda navigated a blind corner and struck the Lagos-bound Sienna.

Seven passengers in the Mazda died at the scene, leaving a teenage girl as the vehicle’s sole survivor, who remains unconscious while authorities search for her relatives.

Seven passengers inside the Sienna sustained varying degrees of injury, while four other occupants escaped unhurt.

Niger State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Aishat Saadu, confirmed that 18 people were involved in the high-speed crash.
