President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the postings of 65 ambassadors, 31 career diplomats, and 34 non-career appointees to Nigeria’s foreign missions worldwide and to the United Nations.

Their postings were announced in a statement on X(formerly Twitter) issued on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The ambassadors, comprising 31 career diplomats and 34 non-career appointees, were confirmed by the Senate in December 2025.

Among the non-career ambassadors, Senator Grace Bent was posted to Togo, Senator Ita Enang to South Africa, and former Abia State governor Okezie Ikpeazu to Spain. Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu was assigned to Israel, Mahmoud Yakubu to Qatar, and Paul Oga Adikwu to the Vatican City.

Others on the list include Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas to the Philippines, Reno Omokri to Mexico, Abasi Braimah to Hungary, and Angela Adebayo to Portugal. Oluwayimika Olumilua was posted to Japan, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to Greece, Chioma Ohakim to Poland, and Aminu Dalhatu to the United Kingdom.

Also appointed are Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau to China, Tasiu Musa Maigari to The Gambia, Olufemi Pedro to Australia, Muhammed Ubandoma Aliyu to Argentina, and Lateef Kayode Are to the United States.

Joseph Sola Iji was posted to Russia; Jimoh Ibrahim will be Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode was posted to Germany, while former Minister of Health, Isaac Folorunso Adewole, was posted to Canada.

Fatima Florence Ajimobi was posted to Austria, Lola Akande to Sweden, Ayodele Oke to France, Yakubu N. Gambo to Saudi Arabia, Nora Ladi Daduut to South Korea, and Chukwujika Joe Okocha to Dublin.

The list also includes Kulu Haruna Abubakar, who will be stationed in Tunisia, and Jerry Samuel Manwe, who will be stationed in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

For the career diplomatic Ambassadors, Nwabiola Ezenwa Chukwumeka was posted to Côte d’Ivoire, Maimuna Besto Ibrahim to the Niger Republic, Monica Okwuchukwu Enebichi to São Tomé and Príncipe, and Mohammed Mahmud Lele to Algeria.

Endoni Syndoph Paebi was assigned to Burkina Faso, Ahmed Mohammed Monguno to Egypt, Jane Adams Michael to Jamaica, and Alexandra Clark-Omeru to Zambia.

Others include Chima Geoffrey Lioma David to Mali, Yvonne Ehinosen Odumah to Equatorial Guinea, Segun Ige to Lebanon, and Ruben Abimbola Samuel to Italy.

Kingsley Onaga was posted to Mozambique, Umar Magaji to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Muhammad Saidu Dahiru to India, and Abdussalam Habu Zayyad to Senegal.

Also on the list are Shehu Ilu Barde to Ghana, Aminu Nasir to Ethiopia, Abubakar Musa Musa to Chad, Haidara Mohammed Idris to the Netherlands, and Bako Adamu Umar to Morocco.

Further postings include Sulu Gambari Ahmed to Malaysia, Romata Mohammed Omobolanle to Tanzania, Shaga John Shamah to Botswana, Hamza Mohammed Salau to Iran, and Ibrahim Danlami to Kenya.

Others are Ibrahim Adeola Mopelola to the Benin Republic, Ayeni Adebayo Emmanuel to Belgium, Wahab Adekola Akande to Switzerland, Esther Arewa to Namibia, and Joseph John Gergadi to Gabon.

The list also includes Luther Ogbomode Ayo-Kalata to Sierra Leone, Danladi Yakubu Nyaku to Sudan, and Bello Dogon-Daji Haliru to Thailand.

The Presidency also stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already received agrément from the United Kingdom for the High Commissioner-designate, Aminu Dalhatu, while France has also approved the nomination of Ayodele Oke as Nigeria’s ambassador to the country.

According to the statement, requests for agrément have been sent to the other host countries for the remaining envoys, in line with diplomatic procedures.

President Tinubu also directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to immediately begin an induction programme for the ambassadors-designate and High Commissioners ahead of their deployment.
