In Delta State, Tinubu swept the primary with 407,646 votes after results were collated from across the state.

The president also emerged victorious in Rivers State, while Ebonyi delivered 207,579 votes in his favour. In Gombe State, Tinubu secured 450,517 votes, further strengthening his position in the nationwide contest.

Then, in Osun State, Tinubu defeated Osifo, who failed to secure any vote in the exercise, while Edo State delivered 131,096 votes for the president.

Celebrations broke out at APC headquarters in Abuja as supporters and party leaders hailed the results as a strong endorsement of Tinubu’s leadership and chances ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Earlier, Tinubu had urged party members to avoid “do-or-die politics” and ensure peaceful conduct during the primaries. “You must rise above sentiment to offer all aspirants a level playing field,” he said before the exercise started.
