During a high-level summit in Florida with Latin American allies, President Donald Trump declared that Cuba’s communist government is in its “last moments of life.”
Addressing a group of a dozen regional leaders, Trump asserted that a “great change” is imminent for the island nation.
He explicitly stated his intention to personally “take care of” the situation, signalling a potential shift in U.S. policy toward Havana.

The president criticised the Cuban administration’s “bad philosophy” and long-standing regime, citing its lack of financial resources and oil as evidence of its impending collapse.
While officials from Havana were notably excluded from the summit, Trump’s remarks suggest that his administration is preparing to intensify pressure on the country following his recent interventions in Venezuela and Iran.
