A joint intelligence operation between Türkiye and Syria has led to the arrest of 10 Turkish nationals accused of belonging to the Islamic State (IS) group, Turkish state media reported on Saturday.
All 10 suspects were the subjects of international Interpol Red Notices.
Following their apprehension in Syria, nine of the detained individuals were immediately extradited to Türkiye by security forces.
The suspects are believed to have travelled to the region to join the terrorist organisation between 2014 and 2017.
Among those captured, one individual is suspected of holding operational links to the devastating 2015 Ankara railway station bombings, an attack that claimed over 100 lives.

Two other detainees face serious charges for plotting and executing assaults against Turkish military personnel deployed in northern Syria.
State media outlets did not disclose the precise location or timing of the cross-border operation.
