The announcement follows months of teasers on social media, where the singer repeatedly referenced the album’s title.
In August, he wrote, “I’ve lived it, I’ve seen it, I’m still here. My new album, Oldest Young Man, soon come.”
The album will be his first since ‘Warriors’, released in 2020.
2Baba rose to prominence in the 1990s, co-founding the group Plantashun Boiz before establishing a solo career as one of the pioneers of Afropop.
His discography includes ‘Face 2 Face’ (2004), ‘Grass 2 Grace’ (2006), ‘The Unstoppable’ (2009), ‘Away and Beyond’ (2012), ‘Rewind, Select, Update’ (2015), and ‘Warriors’ (2020).
