Ace movie producer Tunde Kelani has spurred a buzz of excitement among Nollywood fans following his announcement that he is working on part two of the phenomenal movie, Saworoide.
The legendary filmmaker teased the upcoming project on his official Twitter handle on Thursday, stating:
“When there is a cultural vacuum, moral and mental decay follows. Saworoide 2 (new movie) is coming soon.”
Saworoide movie tells the story of a small town known as Jogbo, which is ruled by a powerful and corrupt king.
The classic Nigerian movie which dates back to 1999, explores themes of influence, power, corruption, and the battle for justice in a society where the voices of the people are often muffled.
Kelani’s recent announcement has reignited interest in the iconic film that has had many enthusiasts anticipating a sequel for many years.
