Oluwafemi was trying to stop the hoodlums from scavenging contaminated frozen turkeys when they attacked him. He sustained injuries and was taken to Epe General Hospital, where he was treated and later discharged.

However, on July 15, 2024, Oluwafemi’s condition worsened, and he was taken back to the hospital. Despite the efforts of the doctors, he passed away. His remains have been deposited at the mortuary.

In response to the incident, the police have arrested two suspects, adding to the 12 people previously handed over to the task force for scavenging contaminated turkeys.

Hundeyin confirmed that an investigation is ongoing.
