Ademola Lookman, a winger for Atalanta and Nigeria, scored in Sunday’s 3-2 victory over Empoli to put his team back at the top of Serie A.
The league leaders took the lead in the first half thanks to a goal from the newest African star in the 46th minute, while Atalanta secured three points with a goal from Charles De Ketelaere in the 86th minute to complete his brace.
Atalanta is still the frontrunner to win the Scudetto this season and leads Napoli by two points on the log.
