Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele was crowned Ligue 1 Player of the Year on Sunday, after helping the club secure their 13th French league title and reach the Champions League final.
Dembele has been in outstanding form this season, topping the Ligue 1 scoring charts with 21 goals. Across all competitions, he has netted 33 times in 46 appearances, including eight goals in European matches.
The French international succeeds Kylian Mbappé, who won the award five years in a row before his move to Real Madrid at the end of last season.

Luis Enrique was named Coach of the Year at the UNFP (French players’ union) Trophies gala, while Desire Doue claimed the Best Young Player award in Ligue 1.
Lille’s Lucas Chevalier prevented PSG from claiming a full sweep of the honours, winning the Best Goalkeeper award after beating PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma to the title.
PSG are on track to secure a treble, having already wrapped up an 11th Ligue 1 title in 13 years. They will face Inter Milan in the Champions League final on May 31, just a week after competing against Reims in the French Cup final.
