Salah Matches Henry’s Golden Boot Record with Fourth Win

Mohamed Salah has etched his name further into Premier League history by claiming the Golden Boot for a fourth time, matching the long-standing record held by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

The Liverpool forward scored 29 goals this season, including a crucial equaliser in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, helping the Reds secure a share of the English top-flight title with a 20th championship win.

Newcastle’s Alexander Isak finished second in the scoring charts with 23 goals, while Manchester City’s Erling Haaland—who had won the accolade in the past two seasons—ended third on 22.

Salah had previously finished as the league’s top scorer in the 2017/18, 2018/19, and 2021/22 campaigns. Now aged 32, he may yet eclipse Henry’s record after penning a fresh two-year contract extension at Anfield.

The Egyptian’s stellar season also included 18 assists, underscoring his all-round contribution. His performances earned him both the Football Writers’ Association and PFA Player of the Year honours in a clean sweep of individual awards.
